Meet Tucker Robinson

Born to a father who was an up and coming horse trainer and a mother who rode pleasure horses, I was born to ride horses. At a young age I knew I had a passion for riding horses. I had always ridden different ponies and horses around our ranch, but at age 12 I was given a very special pony named Jet. By special I mean an angry pony with an attitude that challenged my skills and authority everyday. I went on to have a successful junior rodeo career on Jet, but had to give him away when my boots started to drag on the ground. I had much success in my high school years qualifying in 3 out of 4 National High School Finals Rodeo’s and continued to ride in college where I qualified for the Intercollegiate National Finals Rodeo.

Like most young men I came home from college not knowing what to do for a career. Knowing that I had a passion and skill for riding horses, I turned to my dad, Ted Robinson, for a job. Much to my surprise he laughed and said, “Go get a real job first.” Over the next 4 years I had a job working construction but still competed as a non-pro with my dad being my trainer and mentor. By 2003 I was working for Ted Robinson training stables.

Working with my dad has truly been a blessing, I feel lucky to have learned from the best. I realize that it may seem like I had an easy entrance into the cow horse world, but after years of hard work and dedication, I have perfected my own techniques to prove that I am a talented trainer and worthy of training and showing great quality horses. I would be nowhere without the great support of my loyal customers, friends and family.

I reside and train with my wife Tina Robinson and daughter Tegan in Lompoc, California, just an hour north of Santa Barbara, California. Since opening our barn doors in 2013 we are blessed to have great owners, non- pro’s, and horses to show and train. Our successes and our non-pro riders successes’ have proven that our dedication to horse and rider are a win- win.
